A Japanese multinational company with manufacturing operations in Malaysia and a global supply network for rubber gloves approached us to explore the use of heat pump drying technology to reduce sludge disposal.
The client had been operating an LPG-fired sludge dryer for several years. Over time, the system's drying efficiency declined, while maintenance and repair costs continued to increase. In addition, the Environmental Authority advised the client to consider a more environmentally friendly drying solution that does not require a scrubber system, thereby reducing the risk of air pollution and simplifying environmental compliance.

T3000 Sludge Dryer
To evaluate the proposed solution, we conducted a two-week on-site trial using our T500 pilot dryer. The successful trial demonstrated the performance, energy efficiency, and environmental benefits of our heat pump technology, giving the client the confidence to proceed with the purchase of two T3000 dryers. The new systems are now used to process approximately 6 tonnes of wet sludge per day.
