The Okada Sludge Dryer operates by the dehydration principle of circulating dry and warm air through a designated volume of filter cake. Moisture extracted from the now-dewatered filter cake will then be channeled to the dehumidifying unit and condensed via a heat the dry air and this provides the air with enormous water adsorbing capacity. This enhanced dry air will then reintroduced to the cake and circulated through the entire system again. The refrigeration cycle of both the heat exchangers in the continuous close loop give an advantage of energy equilibrium because surplus heat arising from the first exchanger is transferred to the second unit for reheat purpose.
The sludge from the filter press still have 65% - 85% of the moisture content. By using Okada sludge dryer we are able to assist our customer to further reduce 4 bags of filter cake to 2 bags (weight and volume reduction of approximately 2:1). Customer can easily save up to 50% of their current disposal cost.
